What you really want to do is combine your two favorite genres: Romance and Science Fiction and bring your dreams to life in book form. But the science angle—and cross-genre angle— have you more worried than if you wore a red-shirted uniform. So where do you start? Right here in BOLDLY GOING, LEVEL ONE. Best-selling SFR author Linnea Sinclair will help you turn your ideas and your passion into a workable plan for your first science fiction romance. You’ll learn the working tropes of the SF genre, the dos and don’ts of world building, the best way to incorporate the required science elements, and get tips on how to mix it all together without losing the romance. This is an intensive genre-specific course for the serious writer. Prospective students must provide a list of five SFR/RSF novels and five SF novels they’ve read, and must be competent in basic novel structure (plot, GMC, characterization, and the story arc). |
