Session 2: THE POWER OF SUBTEXT: FACES AND VOICES
Avoid writing predictable, trite, overused facial expressions and dialogue cues. Learn deep editing tips and techniques for writing them fresh. We’ll cover:

- Sharing incongruence between expression and dialogue cue
- How to describe the expression without describing the features

Session 4: VISCERAL RESPONSES: BEYOND HAMMERING HEARTS
One of the biggest challenges for writers is writing emotion in fresh and credible ways. They may be surprised to see that in an emotionally-driven scene, they kept the POV character in their head, intellectualizing about their emotional experience. Learn Margie’s Top Twelve Visceral Rules and you’ll know how to slip in the right amount of visceral emotion to make your scenes emotionally empowering.
