Workshop Description:
No piece of writing is perfect from the first draft (not even the description for this workshop!). Over the course of the month, we’ll look at chapters from the craft book Self-Editing for Fiction Writers, Second Edition: How to Edit Yourself Into Print and discuss how you can apply the techniques to your own work. Participants may also submit two pages of their work-in-progress to be workshopped by the group.
About the Instructor:
Rachel Smoka-Richardson
Rachel Smoka-Richardson earned her MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She co-wrote CINDERELLIOT (a picture book romance with an HEA!), which will be published in May 2022 with Running Press Kids. Rachel also writes fiction and nonfiction books for kids for Capstone Press. In addition, Rachel is also a freelance editor for romance writers and is currently accepting new clients.
